Fergie's Story...
Adorable, sweet and lovable as can be? Yep that's us!! We are 2-3 month old rescue pups from Puerto Rico and we just can't wait to find our new families! Its not exactly clear what our breed mix is, especially since we all look a little different. The folks here tell us we definitely have some Shar-Pei in our family tree and maybe some retriever, beagle or terrier! We are happy and playful puppies ready to find our homes!
Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! 978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fergie, a Gloucester Shar Pei/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Shar Pei/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shar Pei/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
