My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marty is 2.5 years old. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. He tested positive for heart worm and received the "fast kill" injections at the end of November. He is now taking Tri Heart Plus tablet each month until he tests negative (usually 3-4 months) and then he can continue his regular heart worm preventative for the rest of his life.

Marty was surrendered to the shelter as a stray so there is no history known about him. He is very intelligent and learns very easy. He lives the reputation of the Australian Cattle Dog breed. He will be happiest in a home that understands his desire to be active and to learn important jobs. Because of his active desire small children are not recommended to be with Marty. He is very friendly and lovable. During his down time it is usual to see him napping on the couch or curled up in his doggie bed. He also does well in his crate and gets his exercise outside in his fenced yard. He will chase the ball but he will not fetch it. He enjoys playing with the other dogs and really likes to work with his human companion. He enjoys chewing on a nyla bone when he is relaxing. He has just recently learned house living and is doing very well.

He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped, and on a heartworm and flea preventative.
