Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have been told by a few people they think Scooter is a Pure Breed Wirehaired Dachshund. All we know is he is cute as a button. Scooter ended up at a high killer shelter because he is old and no use anymore. So many people don't look at a dog being for life and when they start having issues they are just tossed away like they are garbage. At the shelter Scooter was at he had no chance of getting out alive without being rescued. Scooter is about 9 years old and does not have the best vision and does not have the best hearing. He still gets around just fine and sees much better in the day than at night. We think stairs would be a problem for him. His vision can not be that bad as he will chase a cat, so needs a home with no cats. He is about 15lbs. He is not much of a lap dog but does love his dog bed. He is looking for a place to live out his golden years. Most little dogs live till they are about 15 years or more.
