My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Maggie, My foster mom calls me "magpie," although I don’t know why. I am at least 12 years old, we didn't really know my true age. I weigh in a full 9 lbs, not much more wet either.  I eat very soft food with water or some broth to help me since I don't have any teeth. I do have some cloudy eyes, but do not have any other known health issues.  I am a little shy so I tend to stay away from   people moving around and loud noises, I get along with pretty much all of my foster sisters. They are dogs big and small, but mom watches me with them so I don’t get hurt. I also live with a cat but she stays away from me and I stay away from her. I am around younger children too but I stay out of their way. I am not mean, nor I don’t growl or bark. I love to be held and cuddled and really love when my back is scratched.  House training is different for me now compared to where I used to live. Mom wants me to potty outside which I don’t understand why, although I do go outside and do my potty when taken there.  I just haven’t gotten the idea to ask to go out. I don’t mean to have accidents but it happens, so I need someone understanding of that too.  I used to live with a lot of dogs before, and that is why I am looking for a new home.  I prefer to get more attention for myself, and hope the many other dogs from my original home, who also went to foster homes, get all the attention they deserve too.
