Bella's Story...
What is your name? Bella

How old are you?
1 1/2 years old

How much do you weigh? 39lbs.

What do you look like? My foster mom says I look like a cow because of my spots.

What kind of personality do you have? I'm a super sweet, calm and a beyond lovable. Everyone can't help but to fall in love with my sweetness.

Describe your perfect day. I would play fetch here and there throughout the day, roam around the property with my foster mom while she's working, and maybe splash here and there in the puddles after a good rain. And get in some cuddles in the house with my baby. Oh and chew on my Nylabone when I have time.

What is your favorite toy? I have a big stuffed dog. My foster mom calls it my baby. I snuggle with it on naps and at night time. It keeps me from being lonely.

Do you know any tricks? Not yet, but I'm learning. My foster mom is amazed at how fast I learn.

What are your afraid of? I sometimes don't like to be alone.

Have you been around children, do you like them? Haven't been around kids yet, but I will be tested around them soon.

Do you like cats? Cats, what are cats? I've been near horses, goats, and sheep. I haven't bothered them. So I'm sure I'd be cool with cats.

How do you feel about other dogs? I have two little Chihuahua foster sister's that I get along great with.

If you could be anywhere in the world where would it be? My very own forever home.

How is your health? The doctor said I was perfectly healthy!

Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? I'm closest to my foster mom. But when she's busy I also have my foster grandparents.

Where do you hang out when you are home alone? I have a room all to myself.

Do you like walking on a leash? I'm learning how to walk on a leash!

Do you have any not so great habits that we should know about for instance do you bark or dig in the yard? I don't like to be alone, I'm slowly learning it's okay, someone is going to come back soon for me.

Are you house trained? Yes, I cry when I need to out outside to potty.

Do you like water? I love running outside and playing in the water. I'm getting baths everyday cause I play in puddles daily.

What do you love about your current family? They saved my life from going to the shelter. They are showing what real love is what. Assuring me I'm going to get my next meal. I have a warm place to lay my head at night. Making sure I'm going to have a amazing loving home to call my own.

What was your life like before being rescued by your current family? I was living with some homeless people that didn't take very good care of me. They surrendered me to a nice lady, and now I'm happy in my foster home.

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary).

Bella's adoption donation is $200.

Interested in meeting Bella or any of our available pooches? Complete and submit our adoption application on our website norcalbullybreedrescue.com and we will respond to you within 24 to 48 hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Lincoln American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
