Honey Bear's Story...
Honey Bear was surrendered to us 8/20/16. He is a male Teddy guinea pig. He is calico in coloring with short bristly hair and black eyes. He was born around 1/20/12. He is an older boy, but with age comes calm wisdom. He is very content to sit on your lap and eat dandelion leaves, carrots, parsley, berries, cabbage, kale, spinach, and broccoli. He would be great with children. He has been examined by a vet and is in good health. He would love to find a nice lap to call his own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey Bear, a Germantown Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
