Andie needs a special, loving home. She is blind and takes medication to prevent seizures. She also happens to be incredibly sweet, and totally adores TLC! Andie is friendly with new people, especially when they give her love.
Due to her vision lost, she can't see the visual cues from other dogs and has a difficult time interacting and feeling comfortable with them. She also has hypothyroidism so she will be on an inexpensive medication for life to control that.
She would thrive with a calm canine sibling or as the only pet. She has no interest in kitties and would likely do just fine having a cat in her family. When Andie has been around a toddler, she wasn't fazed by him at all.
Once a routine is established for Andie, she will do fine in the house. She also enjoys getting out of the house, and she will ride along in the car nicely, or go for walk on a leash with no problem. At night, Andie likes to snuggle up somewhere near her person on her dog bed.
Andie's senior guardian passed away recently and no one in her family can give Andie the quiet lifestyle she needs. She is so incredibly loving and trusting, Andie will be a wonderful, gentle companion for a mellow person who wants to adore and be adored!
