JJ's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

JJ's Story...
Every now and then a litter comes along that makes us scratch our heads and think, "hmmmm how did THAT happen??" Well, we know HOW it happens but goodness, what a funny mix of dogs these guys are. They are the cutest little creatures ever though. Very unique looking pups! These guys are about 9 weeks old and weigh around 9 pounds. They are going to be short and stocky like a Basset but they will look like a Shepherd/Boxer otherwise. They are snuggly, fun-loving, playful pups who do fine with other dogs, cats and kids. They are being fostered in West TN and will be transported once their adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add one of these pups to your family, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JJ, a Hagerstown Basset Hound/Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Boxer for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Basset Hound/Boxer puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Boxer breeders who help with Basset Hound/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
