Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Max's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Max's Story...
This overgrown puppy is Max, an approximately 2 yr old mastiff mix with a huge heart. Max is big (95-pound), strong and a tad stubborn. Add to that some puppy mischief and it goes without saying that Max thrives when rules and boundaries are in place and enforced. If you give Max that structure he will fall in line and be the silliest, most affectionate companion you could ask for.

He has had professional training with a great foundation in obedience. He loves to play with other dogs, but plays like a bull in a china shop so his playmates should be chosen wisely.

What he loves more than anything is being part of the family. Max is clever and will find his way out of crates and kennels if he thinks he missing out on family time so a home where he would need to be confined or isolated is probably not ideal for him. But if you want a dog who is a member of the family, a companion to go with you on hikes as well as cuddle up for movie night, then Max is your boy. Cats are a no for Max, and small dogs or very young children would probably be too small for his play style.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Lompoc Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Lompoc, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Lompoc.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lompoc already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lompoc breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lompoc paves the way for another one to be saved.
