My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~compassionate adoption fee applies, please email caarescue@gmail.com if serious about adoption~
My name is FiFi and I would like to tell you a little more about myself if you have the time… it is ok if you don’t though because I am kind of used to no one caring about me. See I was found running the streets of Montreal in the dead of winter, I was picked up by Animal Control where it was noted how dirty I was and long my claws were. Clearly from neglect and the end result abandonment.
Animal Control waited for someone to come and claim me but no one did… I wasn’t surprised though.
I was deathly afraid in my cage even though the people there were really kind and cared about me a lot they realized no one was ever going to adopt me as I hid and cried in my cage so they contacted CAA Rescue and little did I know that as soon as my foster mom saw my picture without any hesitation flew out the door to battle traffic to get to me as soon as she could so that I would not have to spend one more minute in a cage crying, scared and alone.
I have had most of my teeth extracted because they were rotten in my mouth, only about 7 remain now but I can still manage to eat dry small kibble bites with no problem.
My tummy and my paws are still sensitive to the touch due to my spay and serious claw clipping I needed.
While I may be a shy girl I am very much a man’s best friend as I follow around the man in foster home wherever he goes.
I have lived with small and big doggies along with cats and I get along with everyone just fine
I have not been tested around any young children, but I think I could be ok with a respectful older child in the home or if they came to visit every now and again and of course remain respectful of me.

I have not been overly vocal since joining CAA Rescue in Foster care just normal barking at door bells and stuff so if you live in a dog friendly apartment, condo or townhouse I think I might be able to make it work
I am left alone a normal work day

I am leash trained now thanks to my foster mama and I have discovered that I REALLY like my walkie walkies daily very much. So if you like to walk I most definitely would love to join you on all these adventures around the neighborhood
I will require some basic training to help me become the positive canine citizen that I want to be, do you think you could help me with that?

While I am shy and only discovering life now in foster care and understanding what it means to be DOG I have a feeling that with a positive experienced family I will flourish and that Terrier that is hiding inside of me will emerge strong and fearless and very active!
I am small at ruffly 15lbs and you cannot tell from my 80’s style punk hairdo but my fur is wiry and I suspect I am not a big shedder
