Brandon's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Brandon's Story...
Brandon is a 2 year old Yorkie mix. He's 8 pounds, neutered, crate trained and housebroken. He's an amazingly playful and affectionate dog. He was found in a box at a park, abandoned, with several other dogs. While Brandon is missing half of his left rear leg and his right rear leg is paralyzed, this doesn't seem to slow him down! He gets around like any other dog, climbs steps, runs and is playing with 6 other dogs nonstop! If you're interested in adopting or fostering this spirited little man, please send us an email! adopt@happytailsdogrescueli.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brandon, a Smithtown Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Smithtown, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Smithtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
