Charlize's Story...
This litter of fluffy fuzzbutts came to us after their mom was hit and killed by a car. They are very social and happy and love to play with toys and other dogs. They will do great in any family! They are about 3 months old and looking for their forever family now. They are currently in our PADDLE Program (Prisoners and Dogs Developing Life Experiences) in our local jail. They are being raised by the female trustees and they are working on basic manners training. If you'd like to add one of these "movie star puppies" to your family, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application. They are in the jail program in West TN but will be transported once their adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlize, a Southington Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Southington, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
