My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie is a maltese yorkshire terrier mix, 2 years old and weighs 9 lbs. Dixie prefers human company to to other dogs. She will always be close by her owner yet she's not needy. She is a terrier mix - sweet, yet she can be scrappy!

Dixie is crate trained, uses the doggie door, is OK with cats (she might chase them for fun), small dogs for sure and loves walks. She was emaciated when rescued so she may always be in the 'scavenger' frame of mind and should be fed in a crate if there is another dog in the home.

Dixie is not a candidate for a home with children under the age of 13 - she is a 'herder' and nips when she gets excited. She does shed a bit and her coat requires brushing at least twice a week to keep it tangle free.
