  • Age: Unknown
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 11062402-Ziggy

Ziggy was born August 2012

Zig Zag is a dog who needs you as much as you need him.  Ziggy spent the first four years tied up on a chain.  He needs a calming nature and a gentle touch.  Ziggy has anxiety that will mellow as soon as he feels safe in your home.  Zig loves belly rubs, tug, fetch and walks.  He even seems to like baths.  He plays well with most other female dogs and small dogs and does not seem to react to cats.

Ziggy responds well to confident guidance and routine, clear boundaries, re direction and rewards.  He knows sit, down, stay, touch, shake, come.  Working on leave it/drop it.  Ziggy has had extensive training with our trainer and has overcome so much.  He still has anxiety with car rides, ceiling fans, loud noises but has continued to improve.

Adoption Fee for Ziggy is $100

About Rescuing Animals In Need

About Our Rescue Group...

R.A.I.N. is dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs from local animal shelters, individuals who no longer want or cannot care for their pets, and animals who live their lives as strays. Our mission is to help the animals that we can, knowing that every single one that we save makes a difference. Volunteers work to care for, socialize, protect, medicate, and above all, love, these deserving animals. We are always in desperate need of foster homes for cats and dogs. The more temporary housing we can provide, the more lives we can save.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoptions are at petSmart, 4510 South Us 17-92, Casselberry FL. Adoptions are Saturdays and Sundays, 11-5. We also have an adoption center within the PETsMART where you can view just a few of our available pets during regular store hours!

Our Adoption Process...

Prospective Adopters must fill out an adoption application, either online at our website or by visiting us at PETsMART on the weekends. You must then meet with one of our counselors for a personal interview. At this time you can meet your desired pet as well. We may ask questions about your current situation, such as if you own any other animals and how you care for them. Every situation is unique, and we want you to have the pet that's right for you!
