Sweet, Calm, Purr-machine Jack is a handsome older gentleman cat! He is distinguished in his black and white suit, accessorized nicely with a dashing stripe of white between his eyes. Jack is calm and friendly, though he may be shy of you at first. Once he realizes you are friendly, too, then he will 'let' you scratch his cheeks and rub his chin. All the while giving a rumbling purr. Jack is sweet and affectionate and the most wonderfully loving old man! Before he came to APA!, Jack was declawed, so he'll need to stay indoors. This is just fine by him, though, more time to kick back and relax on the couch! Jack is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. He is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bestfriends.org/Resources/FAQs-About-Feline-Leukemia-Virus-FeLV Jack could probably gain some weight. His ideal home would be mellow and quiet, just like him. And like him, it would be full of love and affection! Contact us today to arrange a meet and greet with this sweet, social, and loving senior cat! All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Jack, please email email@example.com.
