Chewbacca - therapy dog's Story...
Chewbacca is a beautiful boy with soft, fluffy fur who is very calm and cuddly. We think he may be a mix of German Shepherd and Dachshund. He is very patient and gentle with children, cats and other dogs. Chewy would be a great family pet, therapy dog or emotional support animal. He is housetrained, cratetrained and leash trained. Chewy only chews on his chew bones, not on anything else. He is neutered, heartworm-negative, microchipped, up to date on shots, deworming and flea and heartworm prevention. Chewy is just 2 years old and weighs 32 lbs. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting this sweet fellow, please email healingheartsrescue@hotmail.com. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewbacca - therapy dog, a Madison German Shepherd Dog/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Dachshund for sale in Madison, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Dachshund breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
