My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Lily (HWTH#17008A). She is a Shepherd mix, DOB: 1/15/15. Lily weighs approximately 45-50 pounds and stands 23 inches at the shoulders. This is a loving girl (likes to give small kisses) who (her relinquish sheet states) is loyal and wants to please. Lily is also an extremely high-energy girl who may do very well with an owner that likes to run and wants a canine running partner. At the compound of Halfway to Home, one of the volunteers uses a golf cart to exercise Lily. It will be imperative her new owner be willing to give her an extensive amount of exercise as well as the love, good-quality human companionship and training necessary for Lily to live up to her full potential. When Lily is thoroughly settled in her new Forever home, she will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. Once she has bonded with her new owner, she will be an amazing canine companion. Lily is good with other dogs but may need to be introduced slowly to small dogs because of her rambunctious nature. Her relinquish sheet also states Lily has a strong prey drive. Lily is also playful, likes to play with balls and likes to chew on hard chew toys or bones. Lily is crate trained.
