Faye's Story...
"FAYE!" Available for Adoption through Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue!

My name is Faye. I was an owner surrender at the North Platte Animal Shelter. I was extremely shy in the shelter and spent all of my time hiding in my litter box cubby. After several weeks, I was still not confident enough to greet people. I was losing weight and Fur the Love of PAWS knew I needed help. They thought I would be a good candidate for the FURcility so they could help me gain confidence and find a forever home who understood me. I have been at the FURcility since January 23rd and am now ready to find my new forever family.

Faye is a super sweet girl who is looking for a forever family. If you would consider rehoming a pet due to moving, allergies or family conflict, she asks that you do not adopt her - she'd like his next home to be her last.
Faye is looking for a home with understanding and patience. She MAY be shy at first, possibly even reclusive, until she gets used to the sounds, sights and smells of the home. She has ZERO aggression, so don't worry about any of that. Faye is just a cat that is naturally shy and wants to learn on her own time, at her own pace. Once she knows you, she is very, very affectionate and loves to be petted. She can't get enough LOVE! She is one of the most gentle cats I've ever met. Faye enjoys both canned and dry food. She is a cat nip FANATIC. It has really helped her to open up, actually. We would recommend that she enjoy it in her new home as well. She does like to play, but that will take some time. When she does, she loves fuzzy mice! She loves to nap and chooses soft beds over hard surfaces. She likes to scratch cardboard scratchers over others, but does like carpet and rope scratchers as well.
Faye is petite and very clean. She is litter box trained. Faye will do fine in a home with other cats and would be just fine with a mellow dog, she loves my dog - a little jerkhead Chihuahua :) Faye would thrive in a home with a bit older children. She asks for a home that is laid back, without a lot of chaos. Loud noises and lots of activity are not her cup of tea. If you are looking for a loving, all around sweet natured cat - Faye is the one for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Faye, a North Platte Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Platte, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Platte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Platte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Platte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Platte paves the way for another one to be saved.
