"FAYE!" Available for Adoption through Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue!

HERE'S THE SCOOP!
My name is Faye. I was an owner surrender at the North Platte Animal Shelter. I was extremely shy in the shelter and spent all of my time hiding in my litter box cubby. After several weeks, I was still not confident enough to greet people. I was losing weight and Fur the Love of PAWS knew I needed help. They thought I would be a good candidate for the FURcility so they could help me gain confidence and find a forever home who understood me. I have been at the FURcility since January 23rd and am now ready to find my new forever family.

FAMILY GOALS!
Faye is a super sweet girl who is looking for a forever family. If you would consider rehoming a pet due to moving, allergies or family conflict, she asks that you do not adopt her - she'd like his next home to be her last.
Faye is looking for a home with understanding and patience. She MAY be shy at first, possibly even reclusive, until she gets used to the sounds, sights and smells of the home. She has ZERO aggression, so don't worry about any of that. Faye is just a cat that is naturally shy and wants to learn on her own time, at her own pace. Once she knows you, she is very, very affectionate and loves to be petted. She can't get enough LOVE! She is one of the most gentle cats I've ever met. Faye enjoys both canned and dry food. She is a cat nip FANATIC. It has really helped her to open up, actually. We would recommend that she enjoy it in her new home as well. She does like to play, but that will take some time. When she does, she loves fuzzy mice! She loves to nap and chooses soft beds over hard surfaces. She likes to scratch cardboard scratchers over others, but does like carpet and rope scratchers as well.
Faye is petite and very clean. She is litter box trained. Faye will do fine in a home with other cats and would be just fine with a mellow dog, she loves my dog - a little jerkhead Chihuahua :) Faye would thrive in a home with a bit older children. She asks for a home that is laid back, without a lot of chaos. Loud noises and lots of activity are not her cup of tea. If you are looking for a loving, all around sweet natured cat - Faye is the one for you.

HOW DO I MAKE FAYE A PERMANENT FAMILY MEMBER?
-Message the page for our adoption application. This will help us determine if your home is the home of Faye's dreams! A purrfect fit is important to us. Upon that determination, we will have you stop in to meet Faye at the FURcility!
-We allow for a 2 week trial run to make sure a proper placement for all involved.
-An adoption agreement is then completed. Please remember, we do not allowing declawing of our rescues.
-Faye's adoption fee is $100.

Like all our rescues, Faye is very important to us. We are excited to help her find her Purrfect Family. If you can't adopt, please share. Thanks!

About Fur the Love of PAWS Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Fur the Love of PAWS is a state licensed and 501c3 non profit animal rescue dedicated to finding homes or rescue for animals at the North Platte Animal Shelter through evaluating the dogs and cats, creating and providing the pets with information tags for their shelter kennel, taking pictures and videos for online networking and helping to link up potential adopters with pets in need. Our primary goal is to save the pets in our local shelter. We give names to the nameless, tags to the unknown and hope for the hopeless.
We provide vet care, foster homes and assistance rehoming for certain pets in need at the shelter; such as those who are injured, ill, or those who are not acclimating well in the shelter environment, or those whose time is up.
All animals pulled into FUR Rescue are fully vetted by our veterinarians and assessed in a foster home to get to know their personality and likes/dislikes. Adoptions require (simple) applications and a short process to help provide a forever fit and reassurance of our commitment to the pets that we rescue and agreements to solidify the pets well being for the entirety of their life. Contact us for more info.

What we do is called 'shelter rescue.' Our city operates a city run facility, basically animal control with housing. It is not a humane society or an adoption agency. The staff is small and unable to focus on adoptions - which is our organizations priority.
Our primary goal is to save lives at our local shelter. We focus on the lives there, and saving as many as possible.

Fur the Love of PAWS also rescues and provides vet care, foster homes and rehoming for animals in need within the community, when we are able.

Our Adoption Process...

There is a simple adoption application and short process required prior to adopting an animal. There is an adoption donation/fee applied to all pets. ($50 for dogs, $30 for cats) These fees help cover the veterinary care we have provided for the animals while they wait for homes. All of our rescues are fully vetted (including but not limited to - spaying/neutering, full vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tests or FIV/FeLV tests, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and treated for ear mites - as well as any additional things they need such as surgeries, dentals, etc.)

Please remember.......our first and ONLY consideration is the safety and happiness of our dogs and cats. We use the application to help ensure the perfect fit for the pet and the family. A lot of love is invested into our rescues, and we want their next home, to be their final home.
Please don't be put off by the simple process, it's easy and worth it! By adopting from the rescue you get a healthy, vetted pet. You get a head start on knowing their personality, likes, dislikes and you help us to help more in need.
