Hi, I'm Tommy. I am a big friendly tom cat who got injured on the street and was brought to SBACC. I went directly to the vet and was treated for facial lacerations, a leg injury and badly injured paws. Those injuries are all healed but I still have a bit of a limp probably because of a missing ball and socket joint in one of my back legs. I love attention and  especially like  face and chin scratches.   I am a very big boy but have a tiny little soft meow which everyone thinks is kind of funny.  I was adopted and had a great home for almost a year, but I was brought back because one of the other cats in the home got very aggressive towards me, and I was so afraid.  I long for my very own home again, a nice quiet one where I will get lots of love and attention and where I can enjoy my senior years.  I am taking some medications, but SBACC will pay for those for my whole life! I am also FIV+.  Please check out the additional information below and you will see that it not a big deal.

About Our Shelter...

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax deductible.

You can meet all of our wonderful animals at our center. We are open 7 days a week and can also arrange an appointment for you, if you are unable to visit us during regular business hours.

Mon-Wed-Fri 1pm-5pm
Tues & Thurs 2pm-4pm
Sat & Sun 11am-5pm

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Fees
Dogs $120, Puppies under 6 months $160
Cats $50 over 5 years
Cats between 6 months-5 years $75
Kittens under 6 months $115

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.
