My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Simba, and I’m looking for a quiet household to call home! I came from living with the same nice man my entire life, but when he became hospitalized for a long-term illness, he sadly had to ask Broken Tail Rescue to find me a new family.

I am 11 years old and I weigh about 15 pounds. I need a quiet home – perhaps one or two owners – with no kids. I am completely housebroken and am an easy dog to have around the house. But I really like for strangers to either give me treats or ignore me – I only like to be pet by my owners (and now my foster parents). I have a crabby side when strangers try to pet me, but if they leave me be, I am very chill. I have never really spent any time with other dogs and I’ve never met a cat.

I love to chill in my bed or at my foster parents feet, and I am not barky. I also enjoy snuggling with my owners either on the couch or on the floor.

Simba is being fostered in Worcester.

The adoption fee is $200.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
