Carmen's Story...
Carmen has such a sweet face!  This black beauty is a Lab mix, just two years old and almost 26.5 pounds.  She is a high energy dog so would need a family who enjoys long walks or jogging.  Carmen loves her humans and is good with other dogs.  When she meets a dominant dog she may be shy initially but once she gains her confidence she enjoys running and playing with them.  She is not good with cats, however.   Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Carmen has been spayed, dewormed and up to date on all her vaccines.  Now we just need to find her that perfect home.  She is available for adoption in either Victoria or Vancouver, BC.  If Carmen sounds like the girl for you, contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carmen, a Vancouver Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
