I'm an active and playful girl who is very friendly and outgoing.  I get along well with other cats and really enjoy the company of humans.  I am FIV positive, but please don't let that scare you because I'll do just fine with good care and an indoor home.  If you're looking for a fantastically fun companion who will shower you with love, your search could be over!

About Humane Society of Jefferson County

About Our Shelter...

The HSJC is located in Jefferson, Wisconsin and is a small, privately run non-profit shelter that has been in operation since 1922. We recently celebrated our 90th year of caring for dogs, cats, birds and other small animals in need. Each year, close to 1,000 pets find sanctuary at our shelter. We put forth great effort to reunite owners with lost pets and to find good new homes for those who need a second chance. We do not impose a time limit on how long a healthy, adoptable animal may stay with us as they wait to be adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The main shelter is located at W6127 Kiesling Rd, Jefferson, WI 53549. We are open to the public from 1pm to 6pm Monday through Saturday.

Our satellite cat adoption facility is located inside of PetSmart West at 8210 Plaza Dr, Madison, WI 53719 and is open during the store hours of 9:00am to 9:00pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00am to 7:00pm on Sunday.

Our Adoption Process...

**Please contact the shelter or visit our website at http://hsjc-wis.com for the most up-to-date information about our prices, policies, and procedures. This page is rarely updated and as such we do not guarantee that the information listed here is accurate.**

An adoption application must be completed. Home ownership verification or landlord/condo association approval is required. All animals in the home must be current on routine vaccinations. All household members must meet the animal. For dogs, if there are any dogs currently living in the home, a scheduled and supervised interaction with the prospective dog is required. Additional requirements may apply depending upon the individual animal. We do not do same-day adoptions.

Upon adoption, the adopter is required to sign a contract agreeing to provide the animal with the care and medical treatment he or she needs throughout his or her life. They also must agree to provide the animal with an indoor home and if at any point in the animal's life the adopter is unable to keep the animal, the animal must be returned to the shelter.
