My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We can never know about the days to come But we think about them anyway And I wonder if I'm really with you now
Or just chasin' after some finer day Anticipation Anticipation Is makin' me late Is keepin' me waitin'-from 'Antisipation' by Carly Simon

While we may not know about days to come we sure do know about some days in Carlee's past. This sweet girl was pulled from a high kill southern shelter and placed in a loving foster home where she  has learned how wonderful it is to be loved in a real home. Carlee is a 6 month old black and tan Shepard mix weighing 20 lbs. We don't think she will get any bigger than 30 lbs when full grown. Our fun little tyke has learned quite a few things about living in a house and she has done really well. She just about has her house training down pat. She is crate trained and crating has been used as a training tool to complete her potty training. She does very well in crate but this should just be a temporary measure as she continues to progress. She does great with frequent breaks and lots of praise and treats. Carlee is great on leash even being a youngster! She very much enjoys her daily walks with her humans. She is really friendly with other dogs, cats, and kids. She loves to play and is generally pretty gentle but she still uses puppy nips once in while. Foster mom has been working with her on this and she responds well to correction. Because she still has some puppy tendencies we think she would be better suited to being with older children. Carlee adores being around people more than anything. She loves to hang out and be close to those she loves. She's also great when going on car rides so this makes her a great travel companion when going on adventures. Carlee is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. She is ready to move on to the next leg of her now happy journey. She is eagerly waiting for some special people to take her into their hearts and home forever. She will no longer have to wonder but know she is really with a great family. So with all the anticipation of finding her happily forever after...we hope she won't have to wait.
