found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
This happy, bouncy boy is named Johnny Scuffles! Somehow, Johnny found himself as a stray on the cold streets of Philadelphia in December and was brought to the animal control shelter. Because he was quite disheveled at the time, it was believed that Johnny was older than he actually is. He lucked out and was scooped up by a loving City of Elderly Love foster home and is now ready to set sail to his forever home!
Johnny Scuffles is a Toy Poodle, between 5-7 years old. He weighs a whopping 8 lbs. and since coming to the rescue, has had a complete makeover, both physically and emotionally! Johnny went from a quiet, skinny guy who wobbled because he was so weak and who was covered in dirty, matted curly hair to an exuberant, happy, healthy, and ADORABLE guy! Johnny Scuffles loves, loves, loves to play with toys and enjoys playing tug-o-war with his canine foster siblings (both large and small!). He bounces around in delight when he sees that his food bowl has been filled up and takes his time digging in since he has to celebrate first!
Johnny also adores his foster family and everyone he meets. Belly rubs, back scratches, and being cuddled are just a few of his favorite things. Johnny currently also lives with children in his foster home! Johnny seems to have more puppy-like energy even though he's an adult dog. He can sometimes be a little mouthy while he's playing, but can be easily redirected with a toy and settles down nicely. Johnny is crate trained and housebroken! His ideal home would include other dogs because he loves them so. And where he could receive daily walks (or bounces, romps, trots in his case), and where he can be cherished daily for the hilarious little goof that he is!
Johnny is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is negative for both heartworm and lymes disease. Interested in adopting him? Visit www.cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at email@example.com!
