My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Fred (HWTH#17016A). He is a Chihuahua mix, DOB: 2/10/10. Fred weighs approximately 7-8 pounds and stands 9 inches at the shoulders. Fred is an older dog who, since being with Halfway to Home, has been neutered, had extensive dental work done and is in good health. He is a little wary of humans and his new owner will have to be someone very kind and willing to give Fred the space to not only adapt to his new surrounds but also learn to trust his new human. Lots of love, structure, good-quality human companionship and time to adjust will be must. Once comfortable, he will enjoy being held and may want to be your lap dog and bed buddy if you so choose. Fred loves other dogs and it would be helpful if he had a compatible canine companion to play with in his new Forever home. When Fred is positively and absolutely settled in his new home, he will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. Fred is crate trained. For more information on Fred, please contact Sandy at tele # 661-824-4495 (this is a land-line phone).
