My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cowboy! This 50 lb blue heeler mix, thought to be about a year old, was found on a county road in South Dakota when someone noticed him sitting in the same spot for 3 days and nights waiting...most likely for the folks who had dumped him. In spite that sad story, he is the HAPPIEST boy and greets everyone as a friend.  He is great with kids and adults.  Due to his size and enthusiasm, we would recommend kids 9+. A fenced yard would be great to give him a safe place to run and play. He is doing well in foster care with dogs AND cats! Cowboy is nervous about getting into the car (who can blame him) so we are working on happy car trips. Cowboy is a big puppy who will benefit from obedience classes/training. It's hard not to smile when you are around this beautiful, happy, resilient boy.

Cowboy is neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. Applications to adopt Cowboy can be found on our website at www.hoabcr.org

Our adoption fees to qualified families are $300 plus MN sales tax.
In order to respect the time of our volunteer foster homes, we do not set up meetings until applications are submitted and approved. Thank you.
