Trish and her son, TJ (ADOPTED) were abandoned in a trailer by their owner without making any arrangements for their care. Two wonderful neighbors took the responsibility of feeding and caring for them for three months, until the air conditioning went out in the trailer in August during a heat wave. Fortunately, we had room so both kitties were brought into foster care with Heartland. Trish is a little shy at first, but boy is she a sweetheart! She wants nothing more than to be loved on and cuddled and purrs non-stop. She is very affectionate and will gently rub your hand with her face to let you know how much she loves you. She is quite the talker too and will tell you all about her day. She adores canned food and appreciates it when her humans indulge her with it every so often. Don't let her age fool you - she is very healthy and has never had any problems. She also has perfect household manners and is very good about being left alone when her foster parents are at work. She is used to a quiet house and would probably do better in a household either without children or with older children. She does just fine with other cats as long as they respect her space and has been around a cat-friendly dog too. Trish has been waiting a very long time for her forever home and hopes that 2015 will bring a family to call her very own! Trish is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations and tested negative for FelV/FIV - DOB 8/2004. Adoption fee is $80.
