Anna needs to be an only dog with supervised play dates in a well controlled environment with an experienced handler. At no fault of her own Anna goes from hardcore play to becoming defensive and that alone can cause panic and a fight to happen. Although we do not know what exactly triggers it and why it happens. It is best she goes to a home as an only pet.
Anna thrives on structure, discipline and routine. Anna returned to the sanctuary on 5/2/16 and has supervised controlled play sessions with many dogs and is doing well. She has had no issues since her return. After some down time she has been slowly introduced to a hand full of dogs and began a basic obedience course. She has seen our vet, we have consulted with a canine behavior specialist both feel she can be adopted out to the right home.
Anna does well with older children at the sanctuary with no issues. Anna is house and crate trained and up to date. Continued training is required and an experience bully breed owner is a must.
Anna just needs someone willing to give her the time and energy to thrive. You won’t be disappointed.
