Meet Kevin! This handsome Cocker Spaniel would love to be a part of your family. He is sweet as can be and loves everyone he meets. He does great with other dogs and enjoys going for walks, playing with his toys, and eating (of course!). Kevin is almost completely blind, but despite this he gets around very well and is still very outgoing. Will you give this lovable guy a chance?

Kevin is about 7 years young and weighs 25 pounds. Here is what his foster says about him--

"Kevin is a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel. He weighs about 25 lbs, and is probably 90% blind. He does navigate will, walks well on leash, loves his toys, loves to be by but not on top of his human.

Kevin loves to be around people. If I leave the room and he cannot follow me he howls. If I leave the house however he is fine. He was very stressed the first few days but we've settled into a compromise. I let him sleep next to my bed and he lets me sleep :)

Kevin is fine with all dogs and cats and people. He uses his head to feel his way along. He is almost totally house-trained. He loves to eat and we use a maze bowl to slow him down.

Kevin is no more work to me than a sighted dog. He is not destructive, is mostly quiet. He just wants to be near me, walk outside once a day, sleep on the floor near me, and play with his ducky."

About Muttville

About Our Rescue Group...

Muttville is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the lives of senior dogs. On a local level, Muttville rescues senior dogs and finds them foster homes or gives them hospice. On a global level, Muttville provides information about caring for older dogs and support for people who do.

Through associations with shelters and other animal organizations, Muttville finds senior dogs that have been given up and are not likely to find adopted homes. Through outreach and networking, Muttville finds suitable foster homes for these dogs. Ultimately, Muttville will have its own facility to house dogs that are not yet placed, or that are unlikely to be placed.

Our Adoption Process...

Most dogs have an adoption fee of $200.00. Muttville conducts home visits for potential adopters and if you adopt a dog from Muttville we require a signed adoption contract.
