Chloe's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Chloe's Story...
Chloe’s adoption fee is $350.

Chloe is a female Shih Tzu mix, approximately 8 years of age, and she weighs about 6kg. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped and has had a dental cleaning.

Chloe is a princess - her mannerisms are so lady-like. She is a gentle, good natured dog and makes a great companion. She loves to lie in her bed beside you, or even better, on your lap. Chloe likes to follow you around the house and see what is going on. She is very interested in her new surroundings and has to take in every little smell, until she has it all catalogued. She’s friendly and outgoing with other gentle dogs (we’re not sure about cats). She does have separation anxiety at first but settles once she feels secure.

Because of possible barking when left at home, Chloe would be best suited to living in detached housing. She also is a bit of an escape artist and doesn’t come back when called, so a securely fenced yard or extra care taken when on walks (Chloe tends to pull on leash) is crucial. She is pee pad trained and her foster mom is working on teaching her to go outside to the bathroom. This sweet little lady will make a loving companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Toronto Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
