Church (Neutered)'s Story...
"Church" is a gorgeous 4-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on February 3, 2017 after one of our HSOV Humane Officers rescued and picked him up in the Lowell Ohio area. This sweet boy had been injured as a result of seeking shelter in the undercarriage of an automobile, and he was immediately taken to an after-hours emergency veterinarian for examination/care. "Church" is back in our shelter now, and he is receiving extra TLC while he is recuperating.

He is a handsome guy who has a charcoal gray long smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful face with a gray nose and pale green/gold eyes. His face is framed in long wispy fur, and he has the sweetest expression when he looks up at your with hopeful trusting eyes.

These preliminary photos were taken on February 8, 2017 so that potential adopters/rescue groups would know that "Church" is in our shelter and will be looking for a fabulous home. We will take more flattering pictures when he is ready to pose for glamour shots in our 'studio' :)

"Church" is a big boy who weighs 11.2 lbs. He was given vaccinations, Drontal wormer, and Revolution flea treatment on February 3, 2017. "Church" was combo tested on February 6, 2017 and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm.

"Church" has already been neutered. He was given rabies vaccine on February 22, 2017.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Church (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
