My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

March 2017: We've been having fun bringing Rosie to meet and greet events because she is such a gentle and friendly soul. She is a local surrender and Rosie is almost 10. A new baby and a changing family have left her looking for a new home. She is a Boxer mix who weighs about 65 lbs. Rosie is loving with adults and older kids and she was sleeping in the family’s bed. She has been separated from the family because she got too nervous when the new baby cried.

Rosie had cruciate (knee) surgery so can’t do prolonged running and needs doggie stairs to get up to the bed. Rosie loves to be petted and brushed and will bask in your attention. She likes her Kong toys with peanut butter or yogurt, but can’t have hard bones, and she loves frozen green beans as a snack! She can be trusted outside the crate when her family is not home but cannot live with cats or puppies. She has met adult dogs and does well but has never lived with one.

Rosie is a local dog and we will be working with her on a trainer evaluation and getting her up to date medically.

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue!
