Chance is a black and tan English Shepherd/Terrier mix who was born in Oklahoma on Valentine's Day, 2016. This very happy, loving, friendly, energetic fellow loves to be around people. He is treat motivated and knows commands such as "sit," "down," and "come." This playful pup enjoys his busy buddy toys, Nyla bones, Kongs, and the laser light. Chance tends to want to be the lead, dominate dog and takes time to accept and warm up to new dogs -- therefore Chance may be best suited as an only dog. Chance would do best with an assertive, consistent human leader who can help perfect some basic manners. He came to the Steele County Humane Society with his littermates when he was just a young pup and adopted out when he was 10 weeks old to a single woman who has come to the conclusion that Chance and her are not a very good "fit," and she wants Chance to get an opportunity to spend his life with someone with a better "fit." Chance has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Call (507) 451-4512 to meet Chance in his foster home. His adoption fee is $200. (CE)

About Steele County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We all know that kittens/puppies have a lot of spunk and energy and are perfect for some people. However, by adopting a more mature animal, you bypass the active kitten/puppy phase and it allows you to take the guess work out of what your pet will be like after he/she does some growing.

The Steele County Humane Society, Incorporated is a not for profit organization dedicated to:
* Providing quality foster care for homeless cats and dogs.
* Encouraging the adoption of homeless cats and dogs.
* Encouraging spaying and neutering to reduce the pet overpoplulation.

We rely on the love and care of volunteers to foster our animals until a permanent home can be found and are in desperate need of people willing to open their hearts and homes to these pets in need. Please call 507-451-4512 for more information.
