My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Duke,

I was chained in the yard for some time and the people who owned me did not really want me, so they let me go to an Ark Volunteer. When checked out buy the doggie doctor, they found out that I am Heartwor positive. I got my first two treatments on 2-8 and 2-09-2017 and are still being monitored and in a few weeks I have to go back for a Knots test (Heartworm test). When all goes well, I need to be on regular Heartworm Medication like every dog should be.
I am just a little over 1 year of age and a full blooded Labrador. I weigh around 70lbs, which is a little high. Please if you have a fenced to play in and also a family i can be with, come to the Ark and ask for Duke, That's me!

Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.
