Jack's Story...
Looking for super sweet buddy who loves attention and is the perfect cuddle pal? If so, Jack is here just for you. He is totally content to spend his days in your lap or by your side and we guarantee unconditional love 24/7. He's a grey and white Chihuahua who weighs a mere 10 pounds and is 5 years old. This adorable little guy just wants so much to be loved and have a home to call his own. He seems to get long with other dogs and did arrive with a very sweet Pomeranian of the same age, so hopefully you will prefer two cuddle bugs. Get your application in quickly for a chance to meet this wonderful little guy and his lifetime buddy, Miss Sweetie Pie.

To see Jack, submit an adoption application at Staff will contact you—typically within two business days—for a phone interview and to schedule an appointment to visit the Farm in Centreville where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Fairfax Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
