Gidget's Story...
My name is Gidget and I am an 8 1/2 year old spay female black & white Japanese Chin. I am a very sweet girl who likes to play and have come a long way in being social with people. I was originally rescued by National Mill Dog Rescue from a puppy mill in Kansas. I was pretty unsure of everything and was very shy with people. I have been in a foster home with CJCR since 5/20/16 and have learned all about being a normal dog living outside of a cage and in a home. I still have not mastered walking on a leash but am slowly getting it. I am pretty healthy but a little on the full figured side. I could definitely benefit from being in a home where my diet is restricted have daily exercise. I am very affectionate and would make a wonderful companion. I don't have any aggression but have not been around small children so we don't know how I might do.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Aurora Japanese Chin dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Japanese Chin for sale in Aurora, or seeking a Japanese Chin dog from a breeder in Aurora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aurora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aurora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Japanese Chin breeders who help with Japanese Chin rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aurora paves the way for another one to be saved.
