Facts about Hazel Black - N

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Introducing Hazel Black - a sweet, gentle black lab mix who enjoys human companionship. She walks well on leash and likes to sniff and explore her surroundings. She seems okay around cats and other dogs so far but she hasn't had a lot of experience interacting so we'd just recommend taking it slow. She perks her ears around cats but hasn't chased or growled at them. She'd love to be taken on daily walks and then settle down quietly with her forever family in the safety and warmth of a cozy home to call her own. In her photos, you'll see some loss of fur, this is due to environmental allergies in the Southern warm weather. Please contact us to learn more. Her current weight is estimated to be around 45 lbs and her estimated year of birth is around 2007 but because she's a rescue her birth year is an estimated best guess. If interested in Hazel Black, please contact RickyC68@aol.com and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Thank you.

About Smiling Dog Farms- NY Huntington chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.

Our Adoption Process...

Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
