Corky's Story...
Hi, friends! My name is Corky. I'm a four year old chihuahua and I weigh 13 pounds. I'm an all around good guy. I love dogs, cats, and especially kids! I hope they like kisses because I love to lick noses. I'm a little leery of men at first, but warm up after awhile. I know I said I was a good guy, but really I'm great! I hate being crated but am trustworthy if left alone. I sleep in my bed at night until you wake up and greet you with a happy wagging tail. I'm house trained, walk nicely on my leash, and even know a few commands. I don't even need obedience training since I'm such a gem. I like to play with toys and snuggle with my people, too! I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $200. Apply to adopt me here: https://rescueofhope.com/adoption-application/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corky, a Grand Rapids Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
