My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✰✰ HANK Male 2 1/2 Years & AVAILABLE - for more photos of HANK please click http://norcalbcrescue.org/hank_2017.html ✰✰

Say hello to HANK, a handsome 2-1/2 year old border collie male. HANK has a soft-to-the-touch rough coat, and on balance, more white than black in his coloring. HANK is looking for a new home because his owner needed to move into assisted living and could no longer keep him. He has an adorable split face. HANK weighs about 50 lbs. He looks like a body builder with his big burly chest and skinny waist! He's playful, fun and as sweet as they come!

HANK is a mellow fellow who gets along well with his BC brothers and sisters in his foster home, including six week old puppies being fostered in the same home. He does NOT chase the cat, giving resident feline PuckleCat all the respect she deserves.

HANK has been an outstanding house guest. He is housebroken and crates quietly overnight. He's not am excessive barker, nor does he dig or chew on inappropriate items. In the evening he finds his spot on the floor to settle in while the family watches a movie. HANK is very affectionate and loves to be loved! Tummy rubs and ear scratches are a big favorite and grooming is looked upon as a treat. All interactions with HANK are a plus in his eyes. He gives shy little kisses and thumps his tail when you say his name. He practically skips when it's time to go outside . . . and walks well on leash. He will make some lucky person a great companion. We believe HANK will do very well as an only dog or as a friend to another dog or two. HANK’s rucksack is packed and he is ready for his new forever home!

HANK is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about HANK, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

HANK is being fostered in Auburn in Placer County, California.
