DOGGIE BIO:
BALOO is a gorgeously handsome and loving 6 year old male, blue dapple Dachshund looking for love and his own, special forever family who can love him just as he is now. You see, Baloo suffered Bilateral paralysis of both back limbs and now uses a cool cart with wheels to get around. He is extremely loving, full of fun and spirit and is looking for that special family to call his own.
BALOO must go to a family with a stay at home (work from home/retired) parent and possibly older children (over age 12) who are familiar with the special needs of Dachshunds. He needs a lot of care and thus requires a very loving, special family. In return, he will give you endless love and joy for the remainder of his forevers.

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria for dogs that we adopt and that we recommend to owners whose doxies we list courtesy posts for, the sole aim of which is to facilitate a successful adoption with a forever family.
*Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time?
*Have a securely fenced yard?
*We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and *Children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie).
*We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). *Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog.
Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these or similar issues.
