My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MOJO

Neutered Male     White    Mini Poodle/Terrier Mix     2 Yrs. Old     12 lbs.     Fee:  $350

Everybody that comes from a public shelter gets a new name here, and I just love mine, “Mojo.”  Mojo is a magical quality and if you have it you’re gonna do great.  I have it.  I can work my charm on people of all sizes and on other dogs.  Maybe even a cat, though I can’t say for sure about that.

I’m always happy to meet someone new – human or canine.  I meet lots of both here at the kennel and when I go walking with the volunteeers.  Walks!  Makes me wag my tail just thinking about walks. Walks are awesome.  You can explore everything you see.  You can watch the admiring glances of the people you meet.  You can go nose to nose with friendly dogs (or show off your occasional dignified restraint if you meet a canine cousin of a large and unfriendly nature).  As I said, walks are just awesome -- great for curious, active young dogs like me!  I have to admit, though, that I could do with some training to make me walk nicely by your side and only explore when you say it’s ok.  That’s a new concept for me.

Part of my mojo is that I’m cute (I say that modestly; but look at my photos – it’s true, isn’t it?!)  I don’t remember my dad, don’t think I ever even met him, but he was probably at least part Schnauzer or some other terrier type.  Makes me a little sturdier looking than the all-poodle guys.  And makes my coat a little silkier, but even so it doesn't shed (how's that for mojo!).  Nice and soft for cuddles, as you’ll see when we meet.

I’m anxious to be with you and start learning all the things I need to know to behave just the way you want me to.  I love treats and I’m told that will make me easy to teach – I also love one on one attention, so I’ll work hard at this training business.  It would be so great if we could meet and I could work my mojo on you and have you take me home.  Do you think that could happen soon?

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped  and spayed/neutered before adoption.

The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form. Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form, a volunteer will contact you promptly. We need your information to match you with the perfect companion. NorCal Poodle Rescue places dogs within northern California only.
