Chewy's Story...
CHEWY

Meet Chewy she is 5 or 6 months old, and about 10 pound. We believe she's a Scottish Terrier mix.
We believe she is non-shedding, or low-shed.
She is a super cute and spunky little girl.  She is also quite the smarty pants, and learns quickly!
She does well on the leash, knows come, stay, outside, cookie, and no. She loves being with her human laying next to you. She sleeps in her crate at night with no problems.
Currently she is untested with children or cats. She would do well as an only dog or with a companion dog.
She would make a great dog for an active person or family.
If you would like Chewy to be part of your family, please submit an online application at www.lapdogrescue.org and be sure to include her name at the top.  Please note Chewy has an adoption fee of $225

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a Tijeras Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
