My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

6/25/17 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
ADOPTION FEE: $450

Fostered in Texas

Age: 4 years

Weight: 8 lbs.

4/11/17 - Minnie is ready to be adopted!! After lengthy review and consulting with multiple surgeons, a decision has been made not to operate on Minnie's leg. Our surgeon does not believe Minnie would benefit and we agree! She has obviously had this condition since she was very young and manages well. She does not use her leg when running, but it is useful to her for balance when she stands up or when she is sitting. Amputation is NOT an option and would only serve to give her other problems she does not need such as possible phantom pain.. This leg is not hurting Minnie in any way. So, we are letting it be as is and let her go on with her life!

So, if you want the best little pup in the world who loves to play fetch and who loves to snuggle with her humans, get to it and complete an application to adopt her NOW! :)

3/21/17 - When Minnie went in for her surgery, it ended up being postponed. Her pre-op x-rays were a concern to Dr. Beale and he opted to postpone and do some thinking and consult with another surgeon regarding Minnie's leg. Her surgery is being rescheduled and two surgeons will be doing her surgery. We will keep everyone up to date on when this surgery will take place. In the meantime, Miss Minnie is a happy little, playful girl. It will be wonderful if we can help her by repairing this leg ...she sometimes falls down while playing but she doesn't let that deter her. She loves to play fetch with squeaky balls as do two of her foster siblings, so they are all having a blast together! :)

2/9/17 - Minnie has been with us for a couple of weeks now. She has been spayed and had a dental and is scheduled for an evaluation with our orthopedic surgeon on Thursday, Feb 16th. Her right hind limb is pulled up and she is not able to extend it and use it.

Minnie was in pretty rough shape when she was found and had to be shaved down.

We are sure she will need some type of surgery, but until next week we really won't know what it will entail.

We will update as we know more.
