MEET SOPHIE!
This adorable, tiny little ~7 year old Brussels Griffon (mix?) is named Sophie! Sophie is just one of two dozen Brussels who were rescued from a hoarding case by the Pennsylvania SPCA's Humane Law Enforcement. She found her way to City of Elderly Love so that we could get her the vet care she needed and help her land her dream forever home!
Sophie is currently in foster care and is living with other dogs (large and small), cats, and older kids! She gets along great with everyone though prefers to not have to share her food bowl with other animals. Sophie adores attention and will dance around and hop on her back feet when you arrive back home from a day at work while her tail goes a mile a minute! She loves to find the comfiest pillow in the house and make it her own. She'll gladly curl up next to you on the couch or go for a stroll around the neighborhood - whichever you prefer, she's down! Sophie is almost completely housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She also loves to sleep in her crate at night though doesn't necessarily need to be crated. Sophie is a little scare of loud noises and definitely does not like toys that squeak because "omg, what the heck was that sound??", but is otherwise a very easy-going, mild-mannered lady who would do well in just about any home!
In addition to being ridiculous cute in a gremlin kind of way, she's also a healthy girl! She recently got a haircut and received a dental cleaning and extractions so that her pearly whites were once again pearly white. She does have mild luxating patellas (floating knee caps) that are very common in small dogs like her and do not cause her any trouble.
