My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty was one of eighteen dogs that belonged to a man who passed away. He was the only human that Rusty and his siblings had ever had contact with. When he passed, his daughter contacted us and several other rescues to see if we could help. We were able to take Rusty and his sister WeeWee, and one more of his brothers. Rusty is a homebody. He walks well on the lead and likes to go for walks but can’t wait to get back to home where he feels safe and secure. He likes a consistent routine. He is very alert to his surroundings and while not an incessant barker he will let you know if he thinks something is not right. He has no problem with our cats and plays wonderfully with the other dogs here at Cedar Farm. We feel that Rusty will fit the best in a home where there is a dog in residence that likes to play! He is a very different and much more relaxed dog when he’s around other dogs. He weighs 36 pounds and is almost 3 years old. He is microchipped, up to date on all of his shots and is heartworm negative. If you have the patience to let Rusty get to know and trust you, you will have the great joy of seeing him come into his own right there in your home. To meet Rusty we ask that you first complete the adoption application form found on our website www.cedarfarmrescue.com . After submitting the form, please give us a call at (336) 251-8877. We will be happy to answer any of your questions about Rusty and our adoption process at that time and can schedule a time for you to meet him at our adoption center in downtown Mocksville.
