Zeus's Story...
"My name's ZEUS, and I'm a sweet ol' fella who's looking for a loving person or family. I'm a ten-year-old pit bull, and everyone agrees that I'm the perfect gentleman. I sit nicely on command, and I wouldn't dream of jumping up on somebody. I love to go on easy walks, and I'll really enjoy spending time with somebody who'll love and adore me. I like everybody, including other dogs. I'd be a really nice friend in a family where the kids are older and considerate of me. Somebody cropped my ears at some point in my life, maybe to make me look intimidating, but you can rest assured that I have a gentle nature and a heart of gold. I've already been house trained, so if you'll provide me with a comfy dog bed, I'll make an excellent companion in the house. Won't you please come visit me and consider giving me a chance at having the love I deserve? The El Cajon Animal Shelter has a really nice play yard where we can get acquainted. I hope to see you soon! Love, Zeus"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a El Cajon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
