Benji had a less than great first home. They decided they didn't want him anymore and set him free. Luckily, he was smart enough to approach a friendly face, who tried to return him home, only to be told they no longer wanted him and he found his way to Chi-Town Pitties! We are dedicated to finding this boy the perfect forever home.
Did you know that black dogs are the least adopted in the shelter environment? Not cool... black goes with everything. What are people thinking?
So.. let's talk about this high energy hunk!
Benji is in need of an owner with the love and patience to help him navigate puppy-hood and doggie adolescence. He needs someone to dedicate time to teaching him manners and getting in lots of exercise. He can get overexcited in some situations. He lived with young children in his previous home and he loves to play with other dogs but he can be annoying because he's a puppy.. you know, that mouthing and rough play those younguns do? He's medium build and comes in just under 60 lbs.
Benji just recently learned about toys but he loves to chase a tennis ball. He knows sit, down and stay but he needs guidance when it comes to his crate training. He's pretty good on a leash but can pull a little at times. He has been known to chew on the bed in his crate but that's what puppies do! He is typical pittie when it comes to the zoomies and he loves a full body rub down. He also likes to try new things ... like your food. So far, he's liked it all.
