Momma Charlotte raised her 6 puppies like it was a breeze! They have all found homes and are doing very well. Now Momma needs a home of her own. Due to her stressful time as a stray she does not like other animals at all but she loves her people. As her foster I will tell you that she is the sweetest thing when it comes to her family. The home she needs would go something like this.....a single person or a couple with a very quiet home (not a lot of visitors) and a private back yard for Charlotte to enjoy. She has been around my 8 yr old and is a love but usually with kids come visitors. She gets stressed by strangers and other animals. When we spend time with her we just make sure all the other animals are out of sight and she just loves on us! We live out in the country without any foot traffic going by so there is nothing to stress her out. She would do well in any home with a backyard with a privacy fence so she can feel safe and secure. She will never be the dog that goes on walks or needs to socialize with anyone but her own family and she is PERFECTLY happy with that. We just love her to death but with 6 other dogs, its not a good fit for her.

About Recycled Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

Recycled Tails was created by Heidi Evans in 2011 to continue her life long dream of rescuing animals of all shapes and sizes.

We have our 501c3 non-profit status and are always recruiting foster homes. We rescue unwanted pets including dogs, other domestic pets and barnyard friends (including chickens!) and work to find them their new forever homes.

We have a program to help pet owners who need to rehome their pets to keep their pets in their homes until a new home can be found. We can provide vet care/food/training to qualified pet owners who have a reason to rehome their pet in order to allow the pet to stay in the home as long as possible. Our goal is to place the pet right from one home to another.

We believe education can be the key to successful pet ownership. Heidi has spoken at schools and other programs to young adults about the meaning of owning a pet and all of the requirements that go along with it. If we can educate our youth it will benefit the future of pet ownership overall. If you would like to learn more about this please email us.
