My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi friends! My name is Mateo. I'm an adorable 2-year-old neutered male Beagle/Chihuahua mix. Not only am I neutered, I'm also current on my vaccines and microchipped. I'm move-in ready. Just say the word and I'll pack up my things and head on over!

I would describe my personality as sweet, gentle, friendly and outgoing. I get along great with everyone I meet - humans and canines alike. I don't have a single enemy! I'm the perfect lap dog who loves to cuddle!

I was found as a stray wandering the streets, so my friends at CageFree don't have much information about my background. The only thing they knew for sure when they met me at the pound was that I'm an amazing lovable boy who deserves a forever home. So they promptly welcomed me into their facility and made it their mission to find me one. Unfortunately, I came into the shelter with an injured leg and I will require 6 weeks of cage rest to heal. The good news is that I won't need surgery. Just some TLC and I'll be as good as new.

My friends here give me lots of love and belly rubs! I absolutely love my daily walks, playing with friends and I bet I would like the beach, hiking and dog parks, too.
