My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mika is a 2 year old border collie mix. She is 53 pounds. She is spayed,
micro chipped and has all her shots. Current. She had a rough beginning she
was returned to SLO county animal services due to the person who adopted
her, there adult dog was beating her up. 😫 she was very depressed and it
took her months to fully come out of her shell. Due to the abuse. I have
all paperwork from animal services and all our paperwork since my son got
her. She's house trained, my son taught her little things, shake, high
five, fetching balls, her favorite. She loves the beach. She's high energy
and loves to run and go on walks. And on the flip side she's a cuddle bug.
She is very obedient and listens. She is very smart and eager to learn.
Loves children. She is around my grand babies and adores them. Loves small
dogs and most large dogs. She shys away from aggressive dogs. She's
passive. Loves to be loved on. She's a lover not a fighter. Never bit
anyone. Still can't break her of taking mouthfuls of dog food out of her
bowl to other places to eat it. Almost hides to eat. It's due to always
fighting for food as a puppy with the abuse from the first owner. She loves
thousand hills pet resort daycare and boarding. She went to daycare a lot
right after my sons accident. Loves it there. Mika is a sweet, loving dog.
We hate to see her leave. Our obligation is huge here with my son, the
house is small. We don't get her out as much anymore. She needs someone to
make her feel like a princess that she is.
